What our members say about this beginner-friendly choir in Cumbria;
1. I have been singing with the group for nearly three years. When I retired I wanted to find things to do and I'd heard from a friend about this singing group.She told me it was a warm , friendly and welcoming group and that it was singing just for fun! It has turned out to be that and so much more . I love my Tuesday mornings singing together with like minded people and leave feeling happy and energised .
2. I love Ian’s dry sense of humour and tongue in cheek remarks. I love the people that come and the friends that I have made. We are a super group that’s works well. New people come along and they just get embraced in to the group. I haven’t been for a few weeks and I’ve missed it enormously... but I’ll be back very soon.
3. Friends told me about it the choir, never song before so thought it sounded time for me to have a go. Everyone is so friendly and we all get on so well. Ian is a star keeps us singing and we like his humour. I really look forward to Tuesday morning and miss it when it is not on. It certainly has given me confidence and makes me feel so happy when I am singing.
4. Was a leap into the dark initially. Love there being no pressure to sing in tune and that there's no pressure to attend every session. I originally joined as a breathing therapy exercise but it has developed into so much more. A group of people who can really be called friends. I now have confidence to sing with two different choral societies - in a world that I hadn’t considered was for me. Loving it.
5. When I moved back to Levens 3 years ago,a friend urged me to go along and said everyone was lovely and that I’d be made to feel very welcome. They invited me to join them for lunch afterwards which I thought was really nice. Everyone really is lovely and very welcoming…we all have things going on in our lives, good and bad, people in the group are always supportive without being intrusive.
